Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a post-graduation degree that gives theoretical and practical knowledge.
MCA course, scope and curriculum focus on the different aspect of software development lifecycle of modern communication application, including networking of computing devices used in manufacturing, telecommunications, financial services, e-commerce platform, and mobile application development.

MCA With Industry-relevant Electives(select any three):
Value-added courses are those courses designed to enhance the standard of the students beyond those levels specified in academic curriculum. In order to enhance employability of the students value added courses are included in the curriculum. Value-added courses are conducted by the faculty members of the department or interfacing with the industry to bridge the gap between the curriculum and the requirements of the industry.
Guest lecture was conducted by MCA department on 20/05/2024 from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Chief guest Dr. K. Adisesha, HOD at SJES College of Management Studies, Bengaluru has taken a lecture on topic “Sequential Circuits” for first year MCA students. He has published number of papers in National and International Journals. He has delivered lectures in various organizations and universities. Total of around 30 students and staff participated in this programme.
The speaker explains the basics of Digital Circuits, Sequential Circuits, Shift Registers, Counters, Multiplexers, Encoder and Decoder. After his session students were given time to interact with him and they were benefited from this lecture.
The industrial visit to INFOSYS, Mysore was organized by department of MCA on 21st September 2024. The objective was to provide practical exposure to software industry. The industrial visit to INFOSYS was an enriching experience, providing valuable practical knowledge and inspiring innovative thinking.
An industrial visit was arranged on June 12th, 2024 for MCA students.
The visit was to ISRO (U. R. Rao Satellite Centre) at Bengaluru.
The students were exposed to a lot of scientific marvels. They were shown the Chanrdayaan – 3 landing procedures by way of video.
The students were taken to the live workplace of the satellite integration process and also taken around the exhibition area where various models were exhibited.
Students got firsthand information on the making and working of satellites.
