A Big Business Starts Small

The EDC of Nagarjuna Degree College was started to impart entrepreneurial skill training so as to enable our students to become self- employable. This enables our students to strengthen their entrepreneurial qualities and also to transform their innovative ideas into new products and services, that better serves the society. The Prime motto of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in our college is to develop new ideas and to provide infrastructure, and technical support to the students for the betterment of the society, to Encourage Young Minds to Become Entrepreneurs.

Mission

To be the leader in allowing & enabling entrepreneurs, support the sparks of budding entrepreneurs and manifesting the spirit and energy of young students from ideation to start-up to establishment and scaling up with integrity and sustainability through constant guidance & mentoring through various programs and schemes.

Mentoring Cell

The basic idea of Mentoring cell is to create a conducive environment for faculty (Mentor) and student (Mentee) relationship. In order to resolve day to day academic problems of the students the following guidelines are followed in our college NDC. The main objective is to motivate the students and develop confidence to take up challenging tasks in their live and help the society in the nation building.

Guidelines for Mentors

  • Each mentor is allotted with a batch of 30- 40 students, as suggested by the Principal in consultation with respective Head of the Departments.
  • Mentors should conduct at least two meetings per semester with their mentees.
  • Mentors should take care of mentee’s batch for academic interests and support them for improvement.
  • Mentors should encourage students for extracurricular activities within the institute and at university as well as inter-University level.
  • Mentors should interact with parents only in case of extreme situations.
  • Mentors should maintain records of all the meetings held with mentees/ parents.
  • Mentors should update regularly the record in the formats / mentoring form supplied.
  • The record has to be handed over to the new mentor in case mentors are changed.
