On 27/08/2024, an orientation meeting was held at Room 209 to discuss and analyze the findings of the KPMG report commissioned by Nagarjuna Degree College Bangalore.


 

A Work shop  on “Employability Skills,  “ the resource person was Ms. Suma Kumari C Mali Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce , Bengaluru City University. The lecture was conducted on         13/9/2024   (Thursday) from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. Students from 3rd year B.com attended the 3 hours session.

As part of the academic curriculum, an Industrial visit was organized for the students of B.Com I sem to KMF, Rajaankunte,Yelhanka on 9/9/2024.

Department of commerce  organized an Alumni meet-up onSeptember14th and 28th  to foster connections between the current students and the college’s distinguished alumni

Faculty Development Program (FDP) was organized by Department of Commerce, Nagarjuna Degree College, Bangalore. The FDP was organizedfor five days i.e., August 07th to 12th 2024.The faculty DevelopmentProgram was inauguratedby Principal Harish Babu, Head of the department of Commerce Prof. Natesh,and Dr. Rathina Convener of the Programme, at03:00 P.M

Shreyas Kumar GKand Deekshith Aradhya H of B.Com has participated in 16th Edition of FKCCI MANTHAN 2024 Business Plan Competition. Totally 395 teams participated representing from various institutions across Karnataka. Shreyas and Deekshith Aradhya shortlisted for the final round.

 

Nagarjuna Degree College organized an outbound activity for second year B.Com students to Talakadu and Shivanasamudra on 8th june,2024.

The Kabaddi competition was organized by B. Com C3 students on 31st june,2024. The final match between Team B.COM C3 and Team BCA was a thrilling contest. Team B.COM C3’s consistency and tactical superiority earned them the championship title. In the girl’s kabaddi competition Team MBA emerged victorious against B.COM C3 team.

 

The Volleyball and Throw ball competition organized by the B.COM C1 students was held at NPUC ground on 17/5/2024. Team MBA emerged as the champions after a thrilling final match against Team B.COM (C1). The girl’s Throw Ball final was a thrilling encounter, with Team MBA clinching the title in straight sets against BCA B2 Team.

 

Mr. Tejas R of 2nd Semester B. Com A2 participated in the BCU Inter College Power Lifting competition and has secured 3rd place.

One Day Industrial Trip to Infosys -Mysore Campus on Saturday 18/5/2024 for B.Com  and BBA Students

Students from Commerce Department participated in ‘NO TO DRUGS’ drug abuse program on 30th August at Bengaluru city police station.

 

Nagarjuna Degree College organized Orientation day for fresher on 27th July 2023 for 2023-24 batch students.

An Industrial Visit was arranged for 1st year B.COM students on 29th November,2023 to Chikkaballapura District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd. Chikkaballapura.

An Industrial Visit was arranged for 2nd year B.COM students on 8th and 11th December,2023 to Super Tasty Food Products (Britannia), Nelamangala.

A Guest lecture program on the topic Yoga for Health was conducted by Mr. Srikantha, coach and trainer on 6th November,2023 to B.COM students.

The Annual Inter Class Cricket Tournament was held on 28th December,2023 at Nagarjuna Vidyanikethan school ground by B.COM C4 students.

  • Deekshith Aradhya of B.COM/B3 secured 3rd place in Dasara Bengaluru Division Level Competition on 27th September,2023 and secured 2nd place in Fencing in Mysore Dasara sports on 13th October,2023.

  • Padma of B.COM/C1 secured 1st place in Rangoli Competition held in IIBS College on October 10,2023.

  • Tejas R of B.COM/A2 secured 2nd place in Weight Lift Competition (Weight 145 kgs) in Pro 17- Deadlift Champion League on November 1,2023.

  • Vinaya Prasad of B.COM/B1 secured 1st place in State Level Karate Competition on 17th December,2023.

  • Harshitha S H of B.COM/B1 participated in BCU Inter College Fencing Competition and secured Bronze Medal on 5th December,2023.

  • Shreyas Kumar of B.COM/C3 participated in BCU Inter College Fencing Competition and secured Bronze Medal on 5th December,2023.
